3rd Test: West Indies vs India at St Lucia, Aug 9 - Aug 13, 2016, Cricket Highlights.

Whoa, what a terrific performance it was by the bowlers (from both the sides) on the final day of this 3rd Test match. If it was a solo act from Miguel Cummins, who took a six-wicket haul for West Indies in the second innings, then it was a team performance by the Indian bowlers that helped the visitors to win the match by 237 runs.
Earlier in the day, the Indians made a quickfire 60 runs in the 9 overs that they played and then declared their innings on 217. This meant that West Indies had to chase down 346 if they had to win the match. The start to their second innings was horrible as they lost both their openers on the score of 4. This eventually took out the possibility of West Indies going after the target and their new aim was to draw the Test like they did in Jamaica. However, the Indians were not ready to settle down for another draw.
By Lunch, the hosts lost another wicket and this time it was Samuels who played a poor shot to get himself out. Ishant Sharma then got the big wicket of Roston Chase, the same Chase who helped the hosts to draw out the second Test. However, he couldn’t repeat the feat this time around. The only batsman from West Indies point of view, who showed some fight, was Darren Bravo. The left-hander, who looked out of sorts before this innings, struck a well-compiled fifty to get back into form.
What was needed from West Indies’ point of view was someone to bat with Bravo and build a partnership to pull their team out of the mess. However, none of the batsman was ready to take that responsibility, as the hosts continued to lose the wickets from the other end. Eventually, they were bowled out for 108 and lost the match by 237 runs.
As a result of this win, India take an unassailable 2-0 lead, which means that the series is in their pockets irrespective of the outcome of the final Test.
