England vs Pakistan 4th Test Match, at Kennington Oval, Aug 11 - Aug 15, 2016, Cricket Highlights. Two men who would be really happy at the end of today’s play will be Misbah-ul-Haq and Younis Khan. The former, because of his batsmen’s fine performance with the bat, and the latter, because of getting back into the form. Pakistan had a decent start to the day with Azhar Ali, who took the innings forward alongside night watchman Yasir Shah. It was really a frustrating session of play for the hosts as they were unable to get the breakthrough and break the partnership. This series has already been infamous for the number of dropped catches and England fielders added more numbers to it by dropping a couple of chances today. The drop of Yasir Shah didn’t make much of a difference, but it was the dropped catch of Asad Shafiq by Anderson that proved to be too costly for the hosts. Just like Moeen Ali brought up his century after getting a lifeline, Asad Shafiq did the same as he scored his 9th Test ton. Along with Younis Khan, the batsman strung a massive partnership of 150 runs for the 4th wicket and made the English bowlers toil hard under the hot and humid conditions. Talking about Younis Khan, the legendary batsman also completed his hundred at the fag end of the day and remained not out on 101. By scoring his 32nd Test century, he also equalled the record of Steve Waugh. At Stumps, Pakistan were 340/6 and had a slender lead of 12 runs over the hosts. They could have been in a much better position if they would have not lost Misbah and Iftikhar Ahmed in quick succession. Nevertheless, they are definitely ahead at this point in the match with the pair of Younis and Sarfraz Ahmed out in the middle.
